Re: unpopular opinions

  • I'm only on page 4, but I have to say now:  I love Dumb & Dumber, Forrest Gump and Two and a Half Men.

    There, I SAID IT.

  • Not really an opinion.. but I don't really understand why people would have a BB and a regular cell phone? Unless of course the BB is given to you by your company and they pay for it and blah blah blah. But, I have a BB and it works just find as a phone & for email.

I made the decision not to try any on and I actually found my dress on the first day, 4th dress. To be fair, I probably would have said, "no strapless dresses" if I didn't know that it was pretty easy to add straps. But obviously I'm glad I didn't say that.

[QUOTE]In Response to Re: unpopular opinions : I don't feel this is an unpopular opinion. I feel like my opinion on this is unpopular though. I don't measure my worth at all from my work so when I become a SAHW I'm not going to feel guilty at all. Most people (especially in this country) feel guilty if they take a vacation that's too long even if they're great employees. I feel like work just gets in the way of my life and I can't stand it. I also hear a lot of people say "What would you do all day?" The question is what wouldn't I do? I would do everything I want to do. I would be in more dance classes, spending time with my dog, painting, decorating, cleaning my house which is a task with the hours I work, cooking, gardening, and yes even watching tv. I just don't know how people could be bored having freedom and I'm not going to feel bad when I'm not working. GPB: This isn't an attack against you. Just wanted to add a S/O opinion off yours

You'd think so, wouldn't you LBride.  But I can tell you from the last 3ish years experience, that's not what happens.  You end up doing a whole lot of butt sitting, TV watching and internetting.  Sometimes you'll go out and have coffee with someone, but most of the time not.  Sure you've got all that time, but YOU'VE GOT ALL THAT TIME.  So you put things off, you take more time to do stuff.  So you lay off, and it takes you a little longer and then a little bit longer to get stuff done.  Definitely not what you think it is.

I think our education system is circling the toilet right now and might home school my kids when I have some. -I am a teacher by the way...

I don't understand why the general public needs a say in things they don't understand. Don't we elect the smart people to runs things for a reason...they actually know what they are doing and have a better chance of being successful than the person who barely graduated from high school. Thus being said, why do parents get away with telling principals and teachers how to do their jobs? Who went to college again...oh yeah, I remember, not you so please stop talking. -In case you read this far, no I don't think every parent is uneducated, but they should not be thought of as the experts in something they didn't spend years studying
