Re: Afternoon Thread

• Very nice, Poke! I'd be on board with that move for sure!

Gah, I hope that chica with the thread about the disabled dad is a troll. She made me positively ragey. I went apeshiiit on her, too. She should be counting her lucky stars I'm not her momma.

• Not exactly a reg, but popping to vent a little because I know FI won't want to hear it: just got done grooming FMIL's dog... I groomed her other one yesterday. She pays me and I like doing it, but I'm a little frustrated I was sort of guilted into it this time around... she sprung it on my last week with "Well, can you do it next week otherwise I have to make an appointment and try to get them in somewhere." The whole reason I do it is because I need the money I don't charge her as much as the professional groomer she goes to. But I kind of wanted to say "Yeah, because I have absolutely NOTHING else to do the week before the wedding." Okay... I feel better. Thanks for the venting spot! Also, posting from my phone; sorry for any lack of spacing/punctuation.
This is going to sound crazy, but after following the Kardashians on Twitter I feel like they are more normal than I thought. It seems like the celebrities I follow on Twitter are WAY less 'managed' than in anything else. The only reason I have a Twitter is so that I know can follow celebrities.
Posted by ErinG93
I think they are normal because I watch their shows.  For real, pretty much everything that comes out about them in the media is completely batshit crazy.  But they seem so fun on tv, lol.  I think I like them a lot because I have so many sisters too.  And plus we are all nutso.

• Willy, I was giving you a standing ovation in my head.

There's seriously a kirstenstewartdaily.org?!?!
• Kelly, you don't have to be a reg to post in chit chat threads!  Pop in anytime.  And sorry your FMIL is stressing you out.
• Khloe seems like a lot of fun.  I'd like to drink with her.  And go shopping.
• Haha Erin I love Bruce too.  Kris is kind of a nutter, but I like her too.  And Khloe is my fave as well.

I've even been liking Scott a bit lately, lol.  He's just so funny.  Still a douche, but funny.  Like becoming a Lord in England?  I was DYING.

• LOL, thanks Midge. Can't believe some people's children. And yeah, like just not doing programs will solve the WHOLE deal.

Anyway, I must confess to loving the Kardashians too. I still don't know really why they are famous because besides being wealthy and good looking, they DO seem pretty normal.

• Willy, the Kardashians have been well known in celebrity circles for years.  Robert and Kris brought up their four kids in a Beverly Hills neighborhood surrounded with celebs and were friends with all of them.  Robert was also BFF with OJ Simpson and was on his legal team during his murder trial, which caused a lot of division within the family.

Before the whole sex tape thing, Kim was a celebrity stylist.

<div>So basically they are famous for being famous? Or more accurately for hanging out with famous people? </div>

I'd call them socialites, lol.  Robert also ran a music label, I believe.  And then of course Kris married Bruce Jenner, I would hope people would understand why he is famous.

• WHY ISN'T THIS WEEK OVER YET.  I'd be happy if the next two weeks just flew by.

Seriously, I can't take it.  I'm having a really hard time getting anything done.

• Hey everyone!

I've been browsing on the Land's End website for awhile.  They have 30% of their sale prices.  So, I just spent about $100. Embarassed  But, for that, I got a dress, a zippered cardigan, and I believe 2 shirts... or was it three?  I should check on that.  So, all in all, not a bad deal.

YUP.

Apparently we have a severe storm warning for tonight, and "the possibility of a small tornado can not be ruled out" according to NOAA.  Canceled class?  I live in hope.

I agree.  I don't want to like the Kardashians because they really are not famous for any particular talent but they seem like a cool family after watching the show.  Khloe is awesome.  I do believe that some of the stuff is made up for the show but it seems like some if it they do just because they think it's funny.  Like Scott becoming a Lord, it was totally staged but I think it was his idea that he brought to the producers because he thought it would just be funny to do.

5 hour energy. The berry flavored one is not too bad, and they work.
• Bay, it must be really bad. My brother and his family were supposed to fly from Boston to Sioux Falls today and their flight was cancelled due to weather.

Am bummed. But they plan on coming tomorrow, now.

I second this. I take short walks around the office often to wake me up. Stop and chat for a little bit sometimes too.
• Rach, didn't that take like half the time that you're roof did?  I'm glad they weren't incompetent like the roofers.

I like Scott...I think some of the things he's done in the past have been douchey, but I think he's trying now.  Kourtney has just been so bitchy to him lately.  I'd probably be a diiick too, if someone talked to me the way she does.

I have to go out to eat tonight with our regional manager, branch manager, and co-workers.  As much as I'd love a free meal, I REALLY don't want too.  The entire meal is uncomfortable.  They know H is out of town though, so I don't really have an excuse as to why I couldn't.

Well, I mean.  Duh.  Obviously stuff is fabricated for the show - Scott becoming a Lord is an excellent example.  But I think a lot of the ways they go about the stuff is genuine.  I can't explain why I feel that way, lol.  I just love those attention whoring fame-skis.  Love love love.
