[QUOTE]Bay, it must be really bad. My brother and his family were supposed to fly from Boston to Sioux Falls today and their flight was cancelled due to weather. Am bummed. But they plan on coming tomorrow, now.

Nothing is happening yet. But yeah, all the weather stations are blowing up around here. It's going to be wild. I'm sorry the flight got canceled :(

My boss was all scoffing at me "YOU WON'T HAVE CANCELED CLASS." I'm gonna laugh at him tomorrow if I do. Plus I'm going to be so thrilled. Dinner that isn't at 8:30 PM and maybe sleep before midnight. That would be amazing.

So now, sis is coming here tonight since she won't have houseguests and we can get started on all the things we need to do for the party. Boston Bro and his fam will get in tomorrow evening, just in time for hanging out with everyone and having some wine. First time we will all seven of us have been together in at least five years; almost 8 if we count spouses!

Serious. Work dinners aren't the most fun socially speaking but I always like to use them as an opportunity to try something I normally wouldn't. Will they let you drink? I enjoy drinking on the company dime whenever possible.

I will just now make a blanket apology for going on and on about this weekend and pop's b-day party. :)

I AM JUST SO FREAKIN' EXCITED! AAAAAHHHHHHH!

It will be all my sibs, all our spouses, all our kids, first big shindig in our new home, awesome food, cool decorations ... just so stoked. AND, so thankful my dad is HERE to celebrate his 85th! (He very nearly died in February while wintering in Arizona!)

So, yeah. I'm a little bit wound up. Will try to curtail it.

Oh, I'll definitely get something I want. And my regional manager just said a pitcher of margaritas will be the first thing ordered. Shiiity thing is I will still have to drive, so no super heavy drinking.

  • Wally, that sounds like so much fun!

  • Hey ladies!

I left my apartment at about 12:30 to eat lunch with DH. He's supposed to get 30 minutes and I'm just now getting home.

Thankfully, nobody cared. Most people just kept coming through to visit and talk. :) It was nice to eat with him at work and see how his coworkers are. Luckily, they're all nice.
  • Aw, Wally, that's worth being excited about!

If my family weren't beyond the level of dysfunctional these days, I'd probably want to have a gathering with them as well.

I could go for a gathering with H's family though. They're amazing.
  • I'm not stressed yet.

We do get along pretty well. I mean, of course with that many sibs there are some who are closer than others. It also is one of those things that gets better as we get older. We've seen each other through a lot over the years and range in age from 41 to 60. (Well, my one SIL is actually 68 or 69 — cradle robber!)

ETA: DUH, reading fail. You stayed IN at the office. I get it. Did you take him lunch or did he have food there?

  • I did forget to ask for Polynesian sauce, so I guess that's my karmic retribution for supporting teh debbil.
  • Thanks to the couple of ladies that responded earlier... sorry I had a pr. I think I'm just stressing about wedding stuff more than I have been up to this point. FI started a new job has been completely uninvolved in anything WR since, which I totally understand and don't at all blame him, but I had far more left to do than I realized... and I haven't had a good night's sleep in over a week WR nightmares keeping me up, sadly. I just can't wait for it to be here and us to be married! Also, I can't stand the Kardashians... but I can't ever seem to turn the show off, either. Which makes me hate them even more that they're so damn entertaining! Haha
