Re: Afternoon Thread

  • Well, even if someone pulls an insanity plea, it's not like they just get to go home.  He'd be stuck in some miserable mental hospital, drugged up and with very little human contact.  It could even be worse than prison for life.

[QUOTE]Hi!  What's up this afternoon?  I'm debating a nap before I go see my brother play kickball.  It's beer league, so for obvious reasons, I just watch.  They usually do dinner after.  I may skip out on that so I can get home in time for Big Brother tonight.  EVICTION!

<div>H has an all day round robin type softball tournament on Saturday. I'm kind of excited to bring my nalgene with 'water' and hang out out all day. It's still fun for me to watch without my 'water' though. I might watch BB tonight even though I've never watched before. Is it too late for me to start watching this season?</div>
  • Loopy, a nap is always the correct choice.

  • Rach-  you and your H/friends do so much fun stuff it's hard to believe we live in the same area.  We can never think of anything interesting to do.
  • Erin, it's not too late to start.  The previous episodes are up on CBS.com so you can watch them beforehand if you want to.

</div><div>Ah, now I know exactly what I will be doing tonight!

    </div>
  • If you're going to watch any of them, at the very least I'd watch the last 2.  It'll give you an overview of the players and a sense of how they got where they are at to start tonight's eviction episode.
  • Loopy - I've never watched BB before, but was going to watch it this season because I knew one of the contenstants, Kara. I use the word "knew" lightly - we used to do gymnastics together a long long time ago. So I watch - and then she's the first one kicked off!

  • Hello everyone - Rachers those peanutbutter cups look amazing!

I agree MUN1 it would be just as bad as jail, if not worse. But it will just aggravate me if he uses insanity as an excuse.  I want to see him take responsibility for the heartbreak he caused.  He obviously has mental problems that need to be treated, but he knew he was going to hurt people.

  • Rach I loooove pb cups. I made the eggs once, yum!
  • Are we talking about the shooter again? I'm all shooter talked out.

Yall, I just got locked out of the house with L for an hour! That was miserable. But what was worse was how bad the mother felt when she got home and found us. I almost cried for her.
  • Aryn - how did that happen?  (I'm done talking about the shooter too).

<div>Aww! How did you get locked out? Was it the other kid? That happened on Supernanny.</div>
  • Oh that sucks Glo.  Isn't it crazy hot there right now?

So I heard Sunglasses At Night on the radio at lunch today so I had to look up what Cory Hart looks like now (used to have posters of him everywhere).

    Then -

    Now -

He's doing better than Val Kilmer, but still...

  • Sorry I didn't mean to talk about the shooter again.  I am pretty tired of him also.
I am sorry you got locked out of the house Aryn.  That's awful. I hope you were at least able to find some shade or something.

  • I like PB eggs better than the cups.  And the Christmas trees.  Heaven :)

<div>I love the white chocolate eggs Reeces put out at Easter. Yum!</div>
  • Blegh. Not a fan of white chocolate.  It tastes like sweet wax.
  • I love white chocolate. It's my favorite actually.
  • Hi! I didn't want to come back until shooter talk was over :) I'm sick of that topic.

I love white chocolate, but I really did not like the Reese's white chocolate eggs. I don't think white chocolate and peanut butter go well together. White chocolate covered Oreos, though....I could live on those.

I just saw Madagascar 3 and it was really cute! I want to take H's brothers and see it again. The youngest has been wanting to see it for ages.

<div>Sorry, I was still at work when I typed that then the mom got back from picking up her other kid. Anyway, their back door locks automatically and usually there's a spare on the porch but since they just got back from vacay they haven't put it back out yet. AND I went to three neighbors houses knocking on the door because poor little L was looking pretty red and nobody answered. </div>
  • Aryn, that sounds awful. I'm sorry!
  • If it's not dark chocolate, it's not real chocolate.

Are the penquins in the Madagascar movies?  If so, I'm guessing my H will go see it at some point this weekend.  40 years old and he loves those cartoon penguins.

  • Dark chocolate is my favorite.
  • I'm not a huge cocolate fan. I'd prefer something fruity over something chocolatey when it comes to candy.
  • I finally watched the YouTube video that AATB linked up earlier. Omg. This chick is so shocked about Kristen's actions. What I'm shocked about is that she is so upset, and also thought that it'd be a great idea to record how upset she was over this and then upload it to YouTube.
  • Girlie, yes the penguins are in it! They weren't in it as much as I would have liked because I adore those penguins, but they had some good bits. There were a lot of new characters, but it was really cute.

<div>I know! I don't quite understand why people think the world needs to know their opinions on the most mundane of matters. </div>
