Thursday Evening

Re: Thursday Evening

  • Yeah, I thought Holly was younger too.

Eagles, I was just thinking of you.  My MIL was thinking she wants to get into Scotch drinking.  She drinks the cheap stuff, though, so I still have a lot of JW Blue!
  • I go away for a bit and now I have no idea what is going on.

  • Night Eagles!
  • Good night, Eagles!
  • Eagles- road trip to Micas house warming party? Mica, we are inviting ourselves, is that ok etiquette?!?!!!!!1111??

  • I'm lost too, Kelly. Time to go thread-hunting methinks.
  • Yup, I think so!  It's not a wedding, after all!
  • Phew! I was worried.

  • H turns 32 this year. Most people think he is younger too. I'm jealous.
    image
  • I wouldn't mind being younger, as long as I don't have to go back to my ex.  I want to keep H.  :)
  • I hate looking young. I like being 26, but sometimes I get strange looks with people find out I'm all married. And purchasing booze has been difficult. I would like to be 7 or 8 again, for three days, the 3 days surrounding Christmas. Best. Time. Ever.

  • Wait, I can't go back in time to be footloose and carefree but also have H?  Darn it!
  • I'm almost 25 and I think I look 25. Not younger or older. I definitely don't want to be younger again.

  • I love being grown up with responsibilities like own place, nice job, and cool adult toys. Oh, and my own rules. Ice cream for breakfast- done and done at 26 NOT at 6. But the carefree days were cool too. This whole H thing totally trumps that.

  • I do want to look 25 when I'm 32 though. :) I like being older because I don't get as many looks when I'm with my daughter.

[QUOTE]I'd love to not have to worry about cooking anymore.  I like cooking, but it's a lot of work.  I want someone to do it for me.  And then clean it up while I play with my Barbies.

</div><div>I saved all my barbies. I have all their shoes in a Christmas cookie tin, their "accesories" in another tin, and clothes in a big container. I cannot wait to have kids. **Please have daughters**

  • I look exactly as I did at 25.  That's not the problem.  The energy level is a bit of the problem.
  • I played barbies with Ells cousins last weekend. Hadn't done that in a good 15 years. We took the cruise ship to the dream home to watch a fashion show, if you were wondering.

  • No way I could have kept my Barbies. I ruined those things. Chopping off their and ripping off the heads. I was an evil child.

[QUOTE]My sister sold all of our Barbie stuff at a yard sale when I was in college.  We had a shitton of Barbie stuff too.  Clothes, shoes, people, furniture, cars, houses, pets, children, horses, the whole damn thing.  We set houses up on the floor of her bedroom, outlining "rooms" with folded washcloths.  And, we used Kinex to make things for the Barbies.  Creative little things, we were.  I think I used every inch of my creativity making a hospital bed and wheelchair out of Kinex for pregnant Barbie.

</div><div>My sister and I would turn our basement into a Barbie empire! Sounds like we did the same type of stuff. My mom sewed beds and sheets for our Barbies and we had all the furniture and vehicles. We drew lines in the carpet for rooms. I remember getting into fights with my sister because her Barbies never cleaned, cooked, or did the laundry.

  • Aw. You were both so cute with your Barbies. I treated my mine like they were in a soap opera. My barbie would steal my sister's barbie's husband. I never made anything cute for them.

[QUOTE]My sister and I would get in fights over this one little demin dress we had for Barbie.  It was a slutty dress, which worked out, because our Barbies were sluts.

<div>My barbies were sluts and drank coffee. My sister used to FLIP when I let my Barbies drink coffee. Too funny.</div>

I did this, but with Legos, then I would pretend to be dinosaur and go Godzilla on my weeks of work. Only child, party of one.

Also: I do nerdy costuming (Star wars, and historical costumes too), and one of my friends posted about a mermaid model.

They make mermaid tails. You can buy. And swim in.

    Strange.

  • This why phone posting sucks. I can't edit. TK needs an app.

  • My dad was also really fun and would get out his old GI Joes. He would take our Barbies rappelling down the stairs and on wild rafting adventures in the kiddie pool.
  • Oh man, my barbies totally had soap opera lives. My sister and I would come up with these super-complex family trees, and we'd have to write them out to remember them. It was absurd. And awesome.
  • Nicki, you remind me of my daughter. She likes Barbie's but is a little nerd. She plays like that with her Yoshi toys.

Haha, I had forgotten that my best friend and I used to make our barbies "bungee jump" off of her second-story deck. Using hair elastics strung together in a chain.
  • Ha. Lissa, I'm glad I wasn't the only one. My Barbie's were always crazy. I think one was a serial killer. My mom watched a lot of soap operas. I guess it rubbed off on me.

  • Your daughter sounds so fun Eorea.
