Stealing from SB- Ask a Knottie Anything

Re: Stealing from SB- Ask a Knottie Anything

• Currently, I have Mizunos, but previously had Brooks.  My feet are truly messed up, so I definitely have to be measured and observed when I buy shoes.

Roller coasters and free fall rides are the best.

Love eggs in salad.

Love Evelyn!  My niece is Evangelina ("Evy") or I'd want to use Evelyn myself!

To everyone:  what's your favorite alcoholic beverage?
• Mmmm mayo.

• Mayo scares me.  I hate it with a fiery passion.
• cengle and TR -- H actually feels angry if he sees mayonnaise and especially if it's accidentally put on a sandwich of his.  I don't love mayonnaise, but I use it for egg or tuna salad or rarely on sandwiches.  I used to make my own mayonnaise and hide it in tupperware when we were engaged, but now that we eat together all the time, I can't imagine being able to hide it from him.

Yes, I'm the foodie who married the guy with the weird food phobias (mayonnaise, cilantro and nutmeg are the big ones, although he has a long list of other rules).  My friends and family think it's hilarious.

• I'm an elephant LDY, I never forget.

Oh so there is my big secret.  I'm actually an elephant.

Currently champagne and lemonade, but I'm also a sangria and margarita lover.
• Favorite alcoholic beverage? Pino Grigio for wine, pale ales for beer, and bourbon and diet coke for liquor. I can't choose one from those three.
• This is for everyone.....Do you tell more of your secrets here on TK or in real life?
I don't have many secrets, but those I do have I don't share with anyone. The only thing I'm more open about here is bitching about work. I don't do it on FB because I have work friends, including my supervisor.

Everyone:  What's your favorite type of ride (or rides) at an amusement park?  I'm talking the standard, year round in place type, not the traveling ones.
I love the shows. Roller coasters make me sick.

• OhmygodMixtape go to school.  Seriously.  Do it now because it's so much harder to go back and do it later.  Well, unless your then H is going to be making mad bucks as a doctor, then it might be easier, haha.
Missy -- I too am a roller coaster fan. But when I was little, I loved the Big Swing. Anna -- I love how much there is to do around here. My H is a huge foodie, so he loves trying new restaurants. My family lives only two hours away, which is nice. We also have a lot of our friends up here, or nearby. That is probably the biggest draw for me. <strong>Scottswife -- What is the strangest name you've heard for a kid?

Champagne (well, "sparkling white wine" if we're being technical). I could drink it all the time and be happy. H randomly brought a bottle home from the store the other day and it made me irrationally giddy.
• I am usually the mayo hater, but I can deal with it. I like it on egg salad or macaroni salad, but I would never put a glob of it on my sandwich!
• Mica, one of my BMs is dating a guy who has a severe phobia of condiments. No joke. I tried to mess with him when I first met him and he literally started shaking and having a panic attack when I came at him with ketchup.

And mayo is effing delicious. You all shut your hoar mouths.
question for everyone- what do you think of the name evelyn? I am not allowed to actually use this name, because Mr. P won't let me cause he's a jerk, but I'm still trying to defend my position on this.
Posted by mandapanda78
I like the name. Some of the older names I can do, but some I can't. But I think that is very pretty.
• Wow, Pink, you type pretty good for an elephant.

I love mayo so much I put it on my corn on the cob andBEFOREyousayanything, don't knock it 'til you've tried it.

• Oh man, I also really like champagne. And I had vinho verde for the first time last weekend and really enjoyed it.
• LDY -- Only at times.  Sometimes it's great.  Other times...like Easter...or when old ladies call me up to scream at me...or during Election Years...it's tough.

My favorite ride at an amusement park is probably the swings.

I do take my e-reader into the bathtub.

I hate eggs of any kind.

Mine is pina coloda. H makes them, at least, once a week. Yum!

• What was your favorite dance performance?: Hmm. That is a hard one...

-That I was in: We did an all dance production with music from the musical 'Aida'. It was beautiful.
-That I saw: This one is really hard. Most recently a local company called TU Dance had a performance that I absolutely LOVED.

Musical - What kind of law do you want to practice?: Right now my three main interests are either in: Child Advocacy, Arts/Entertainment & Sports law, OR Animal Law. :)

• Favorite alcoholic drink?  Gosh, I have too many ones I love to have a favorite.  A good Bordeaux.  Rose on a warm afternoon outdoors.  A crisp white before dinner.  Champagne to celebrate.  Good tequila on the rocks with a squeeze of lime.  Tawny port with dessert or cheese.  Ugh, how can I think about getting pregnant when I love booze?
• OMG. Tower of Terror. That was all kinds of awesome. The picture they got with us in it - even MY husband was laughing and smiling! I wanted to buy it so bad.

We did buy the Aerosmith Rockn Rollercoaster one - that was an amazing ride, too. God - the takeoff.

The first time I came to John's house, I saw a fridge full of condiments and a freezer full of pizza (he'd had to pick me up in Omaha because flights into DSM had been canceled due to fog frozen at ground level). He literally showed me how to work the remote, showed me where a spare key was if I wanted to walk to the McD's behind the house, and took off. I asked him about the condiments, because I knew he didn't like any of them - NONE. He said when he did cookouts, his friends had to bring them and they'd just leave them.
I was all set except for mayo. And oh yeah - I had a frozen Tombstone pizza, surfed and napped. And washed my clothes that I'd been wearing for 2 days. I had to wear sweats and socks of his (no luggage).

Do not mess in the affairs of dinosaurs because you are crunchy and taste good with ketchup.
I love you Missy. Even though you are not smart enough to take online quizzes to find out really important information. ~cew

I would not be able to be friends with this person. I put ketchup on everything. H makes faces at that too (especially when I "ruin" mac and cheese with it).
• Hold up.  Someone named their child Mybaby?

Wow.

That is almost as hilarious as the shitpoo posted on Craigslist today:

• I've always wanted a daughter, but I was a trying child in the baby/toddler stage - never wanted to be held, always had to be investigating, running around, doing experiements, doing art projects, asking questions. My brother was super laid-back and cuddly as a baby. So basically, I'm sure I'll be cursed with a kid like me.

• I'm going to take Anna's idea and choose categories of drinks:

IPA for beer
Cabernet Sauvignon for wine
Vodka Tonic for liquor
• Mixtape- DO SCHOOL.  Seriously.  Don't have any regrets down the road.

Mayo- I HATE YOU.  Except on Jimmy John's sandwiches, but even then, sometimes there is too much of you.  Oh, I also like you in Suddenly Salad ranch n' bacon.  Nom.

• TR, H always makes fun of me for the amount of mayo I like on, well, anything. I love mayo. I thought I hated it for the longest time, but then I figured out that it's Miracle Whip that I loathe, not mayo.

• I love a good Cosmo.  Not a shitty cosmo.  A good cosmo.

I also love red wine.  Val, Cab-merlot, Merlot, Cab.  It's all good.

If I'm going to drink beer, it better be good.  Guinness if I'm just having one drink and something like Stella for more than 1.

• My favorite alcoholic drink is Bahama Mamas.

I like the name Evelyn.  It makes me think of Evie from "V for Vendetta".
