No we can't do it on FB cause she stalks me on FB and then texts me about what a bad person I am or how I'm doing such and such wrong.

I'll start. Today she told me in my honeymoon pictures I look like I was swollen and fat. Then she said no color really looks good on me, then she giggled because she was j/k. HA HA totally funny.

It definitely made me a little twitchy. The whole I know functioning potheads vs. no one I know that is a functioning pothead discussion was making my head hurt.

It also surprised me how totally different my opinion is on that topic the older I get.

To be honest she's such a miserable person in general that I actually feel pity for her most days. Today is not one of those days and I really don't want her around my children. I think seeing them maybe once or twice a year is perfect.

Mara come back!!

MIL cried at my wedding and told me to my face right after the ceremony that it was because H married me and not the neighbor girl that she wanted him to marry. She follows things with "just kidding, ha ha" but you know she isn't.

And no I cannot burn down her house. She has two adorable dogs that i wouldn't want to hurt. Also, if she didn't have a place to live she'd probably try to move in with us and then I'd have to kill her.

That's what I was thinking of in that thread, too, when I said that I didn't think conventional slaughter is any more humane than kosher or halal slaughter. I've read too many horror stories about bolt stunners not working properly.

Yeah, I agree. It wasnt the fact that she had a different view than I did, it was more that she was saying that the norm is to be a fully functioning pothead and being a pothead loser is the minority.

It just didnt make sense to be, nor did her approach at arguing it.

Also, my MIL is one of those two-faced, super nice to your face, will talk about you relentlessly behind your back kind of person. H and I generally avoid her if at all possible. Most of my stories revolve around her lamenting the fact H and I were getting married, me not being good enough for him, her calling me "that woman" and her shushing my mom (that was a fun day).

Yeah I worked at a small farm for a bit to help them raise profits. They are part of our parish and wouldn't accept money being given to them (they considered that to much of direct charity) but they would accept help on the farm to get things done. After seeing the stunners used once I puked and then offered to cut the cows throats. It doesn't really hurt them, you don't have to rush them and you can talk and hold them. I also had to put the rubber bands tight on lambs little tails so that they'd fall off. Ick Ick Ick.

So glad I'm not a farmer.

H won't tolerate her saying anything mean about me to our future children. He freaks the F out when he finds out she says stuff but he isn't close with any of his family so I don't want him to remove all connections to them.

SHUSHING your mom. Oh my heavens. Had that gone on I think my tiny little mother would have flipped a shiit.

Oh MIL is very two faced. When we're around other people she likes to brag about me and what I do in school....then when people leave she calls graduate school a waste of money and that I should just stay home. She also doesn't think I'm very bright.

Again I really dislike her but in the end I do feel bad for her. She has totally alienated my H and she's really made it so she won't have much of a relationship with our children. I come from a really close knit family and she just won't be a part of that.....and neither will H's insane brother.

Lol, me too. I also found it odd that people who admittedly break the law and buy drugs are talking about it. I cant take that arguement seriously knowing that you have broken laws and are part of that "gang crime" in a way since you do in fact buy drugs. I dont care if they are home grown or not.
