  • So what's the deal with the chair tassel references?

  • Answer hazy, try again later.

  • Too bad @JennyColada is on her honeymoon and can't magically turn this into a thread about pankcakes.

Omg, I just found a waffle mix that H and I LOVE. I'm rediscovering how tasty waffles are!
I KNEW I should have put a waffle iron on our registry!

It was the first thing purchased off ours. I CANNOT WAIT until I get to use it.

@kasmith1‌ , did you get gift cards? And you should have a registry completion discount ... Add that sucker to your registry now then buy it discounted w/ gift cards. Voila! @steph861, it is glorious!!
  • At the supermarket tonight I saw packaged toaster waffles that don't need to be refrigerated, sort of like bread, I guess. Score!
  • @sarahbear31, I don't think I can add anything since I'm already married. :( But, yes gift cards!!
  • @kasmith1, where'd you register? I totally got away with adding extras at Target and BB&B and then using the completion discount!
  • What kind of waffles are we talking about, folks. I don't know if I should be hungry or disgusted.
  • BBB and Macy's, I'll try BBB!

I don't care about sides even though visually even numbers works better for me. We are limiting it to 4 per person because it's easy to get carried away and the people next to you should be your very best...not everyone. Plus I know he'll ask more people and then complain about how much he's paying on groomsmen gifts and other misc. things that our wedding party will have specially done for them or to indicate them (example being that each wedding party chair will have certain flower and tassel decortations- each one = X $)

Belgian waffles. Get your mind out of the gutter!
  • @kasmith1, go ask your BBB about a registry completion event. We were able to get anything at 20% off.
  • I spend ONE day actually doing work while at work and this is what happens?! Someone should have called me. Or maybe not. I needed all my brain cells today.

Also, there were "fall flavored" waffles and pancakes all over my FB feed today. I wasn't aware fall had a flavor.

  • So, I saw pumpkin pancakes today.  With apple cinnamon syrup.  They looked delicious.

  • Thanks @sarahbear31! They sent us a coupon but it was for a paltry 10%. Psssh. All I have to do is wait until Black Friday and they do a 20% off entire purchase.
  • I creeped our registry today, and SOMEONE BOUGHT OUR FANCY FLIP WAFFLE MAKER!!!

    I'm so excited for waffles.

Hold out. And ask about store events.

I started Christmas shopping (only 75 days 17 hours 29 minutes to go, you know) and checked out my sister's registry to see what else was left so I could buy her and her partner something for Christmas.  There was only two things left, one was around $40 and the other in the hundreds.  I swiped that $40 one.  Anyways, the point I am trying to make is that it would actually be nice, for people like me, if you had your registry still up with some options in different price ranges.

I think my Macy's registry said I could add up to 60 days after the wedding. Might have been 90.

@kasmith1‌ @lolo883 I will share a tip from my Macy's registry lady with you- if you're shopping in store, you can get your 15% completion discount on anything in the home section. The item doesn't have to be on your list, they just scan the barcode on your registry and you get the discount.

Also, starting on the 21st they're having a special where they're increasing the discount to 20% for three weeks, though I think it stays 15% on electric items.

Can you tell I was at Macy's yesterday?

Yup to this. When I worked there, we gave brides their completion discount on whatever they wanted.
  • For those of you with waffle makers, is it actually worth it? What's a good brand that's easy to clean? Those suckers can get nasty..

Honestly, how many times a year do you truly use it?

This thread took a turn for the better!
  • I had to buy my waffle maker because there was no way I wanting until my wedding next year to get it. I love waffles so much.
