AYG - Confessions - I Judge

Confession:  One of the women at work announced on FB that she's pregnant. I think pretty much our whole office knows.

I haven't offered congrats because I think it will sound insincere because I'm jealous. My plan (and I know it's stupid) is to just pretend that I don't know for as long as possible.

I suck.

Confession- I just accepted a job offer because today was the deadline to decide.  I'm writing my two week notice right now.  I have to call my boss on vacation to break the news because it's either that or give him a one week notice when he gets back.
Oh, and another job I interviewed for called my references yesterday and stated I was in the top three.  If they call today to offer me the position, I will tell the first job I change my mind.

This makes me feel like a horrible employee and person.

I am pretty sure that most people agree that Katelyn26 deserves the biggest flame ever. She can go to hell via a flaming chariot. 

There is also this maddie chick on my local board that irritates me because she constantly pimps out her venue and talks smack about everyone else's venue. We all have different taste you dumb twatpocket. Why do you have to try to make people feel bad about a venue they pick?

I also flame H because yesterday he complained that I am never home, meanwhile he told me to take on all the hours I can get to help us save. I can't win!

Oh and in terms of silly flameworthy confessions, I will share that I have this stupid fear that one of FI's younger cousins will get pregnant before I do. For some reason I really don't want that. FI is the oldest of 8 cousins and was the first to do EVERYTHING, include getting married (diss weekend!!) and for some reason I would like our potential bb to be the first as well. Silly part of one right here.

Well actually technically it's a rather large loss, having been what, like 1200 posts?  But I digress.

AYG tornadic activity and the heavy rain in Chicago that caused my basement to flood.  Of course, I only have a flooded basement while others have lost everything.  So there's perspective.

I confess that I am really so not excited about my new job.  I need more money, so I got a serving job, but OMG I so don't want to do it.  When I got my non-serving job last January, I celebrated because I thought I'd never have to wait tables again.  That was premature.

And then I judge myself for being ungrateful for a job.  Ugh.

I confess that I stayed up last night to watch Oprah, and now I am not worth a penny. I could just lay my head down on my desk and sleep for hours!

I also confess that I will probably stay up tonight and watch it and be the exact same way tomorrow.

CS, don't leave! I know how you feel in regard to having house envy. We won't be able to afford our own house for years, and I am definitely jealous of all the homeowners. I hate our rental. I want to kick it on a daily basis, but it would probably fall apart. Just tell yourself a better house is out there for you guys.

Oh, and I flame the couple people (KatieBeth and someone else) in the IUD thread who were all "go ask your doctor?" all snarky-like.  1. OP did. She was simply asking for personal experience. Honestly? I wish I had done that before I got mine, but I was worried I'd get exactly the reaction she did. 2. She made it clear what that thread was about, so don't open it. It's a freaking message board full of (mostly) women. Why WOULDN'T it be a good place to try and get some opinions??

It just seemed KatieBeth was being all "oh, look at me! I told someone to go ask a doctor. I'm so smart just like you guys!"

CEW- this doesn't really include you. Because I totally get the not liking PMS/BC talk. If it randomly pops up in a normal thread, that's annoying.

Oh yeah, I also judge Showtime for cancelling United States of Tara. That show is awesome.

Also, I think I might have bad taste or something because a lot of the shows I like have been axed

I confess that I'm kind of glad we gave the dog back to her original owner. She was a wonderful dog, but besides the fact that I'm apparently allergic to dogs, H and I realized that we just aren't pet owners. So soon after the wedding, H and I felt very disconnected from each other. He had to get up early and go to bed early to deal with the dog before work, and I had the opposite schedule. Plus, we just didn't feel connected to Rox.

Maybe in a few years, we will feel comfortable getting a dog, but not right now. 

I feel bad, but for a little bit, it had me questioning whether or not we're ready for kids. I know it's totally different, though, so I'm not going to question myself anymore. There is an emotional bond I would have with my child, especially after carrying them for so long.

I also confess that I made my sister the beneficiary of my life insurance. I did the paperwork about 6 or 7 years ago and she was the beneficiary. I had the opportunity to change it today, and I didn't.

I'm not sure why.
