He is 3 weeks 4 days.

The problem I have with it is that yes he had to go back to work ut the last 2 nights he hasn't gotten up in the middle of the night to help with feedings or anything.

Ciara, have you talked to H about this?  Something along the lines of "Hey, H.  I had a baby come out of my CENSORED a few weeks ago.  I need some rest.  Help or be killed." 

Seriously, maybe he just doesn't realize that your body is still working on healing, that your hormones are still wacky, and that a solid split of the baby duties would greatly help you with those things.  Does your state not have paid leave for dads?  That is a whole lot of suck.

We have 2 weeks of paid leave for dads. He took 5 2 weeks of sick leave and 2 weeks of vacation and worked 2 half weeks to give him 5 weeks off.

I haven't talled to him because it just started bugging me last night and by the time I felt like talking to him he had already left for work.

Sorry, I agree you need to have a talk with him and maybe he can at least give you a break when he gets home. I know it gets better if that's any consolation.

Honestly, I'd cut him some slack on workdays, but I'd ask for a little more help during the weekends when he's off

This is our plan, except H doesn't get 2 days in a row off which makes it more difficult. He only gets 2 weeks of paid time off a year so it's going to be "fun" when he goes back to work.

I judge the douchelord who told H's cashier "What the hell? They can't hire white managers anymore and have to dip into the immigrant pool?" when he saw H working. I want to find him and give him a swift junk punch.

Yeah. H just let it roll off his shoulders and laughed but I'm still livid that the jerk would say this. His workers had no clue how to respond and just stood there staring at the guy silently until he left the store. Then H told them the story about how I was accused of being racist against Asians when I was a manager and they just laughed at customer stupidity. (For those who don't know H is Asian)

Hah. You just weren't seeing it, Steph. Or were seeing me on bad days.

You should've seen me when the alarm went off and I couldn't shut the fucking thing off. I was banging on it, unplugged it - fucker wouldn't stop beeping. John came over to my side of the bed, picked it up, and said - "It isn't this - it's your phone."

Then I became Linda Blair when he said he was leaving the overhead light on so could go on and get up. Hell no. I have a 5 minute snooze coming. Turn that shiit off.

I'm trying it's his first couple days back and we had a routine that was working for both of us. We were both getting about the same amount of sleep and baby duties. Now it just seems like I have to do 10 times more. He doesn't get 2 days off in a row either. His days off are Thursday and Saturday, and even though he's a department manager with a set schedule it sometimes changes and throws off his entire schedule at home and at work.

He was sorry that he didn't help more and he wished I would have said something. I'm just really bad at asking for help, even from him, when I know he needs the sleep more than I do right now.

When I go back in 2 weeks we both are going to suffer sleep wise. He will work 3am-11:30am and I will work 1pm-10pm. So on to top of each of us being alone with the baby for half the day we aren't going to get to see each other much either.

I think I was also frustrated yesterday more because it was my birthday and we had fun plans and the no sleep the 2 nights before made me not even want to go.

Aw, Ciara, that sucks. I can't identify with the baby part, but I sure can the weird work hours/not seeing your husband much during the work week. And ruined fun plans suck even more.
