In my county they are required to go to all calls. All the firefighters are trained as EMTs too.

I think Monty Python movies are the biggest load of crap on the planet. That Holy Grail movie made me want to kill myself.

I also think teachers should have to have a degree in their subject.  I'm less sure about the money, it depends where and how many students they are teaching and what else is required of them.

Ah, yeah, here they're all trained as first responders.  Basically, a 911 call comes in and they all get dispatched.

I'm so blessedly happy to be out of Italy that even if my friend were to ask me to come back after her baby is born to hang out or whatever, I'd have a very hard time finding it within me to go.  It would be like being asked to go to Hell for a weekend.
