I am not a fan of political parties.  It bothers me that I am constantly being forced to pick a label rather than state how I feel about certain issues, because none of the labels out there really fit my thinking.

The usuals: I hate NPR and ketchup.

Also, I think memorial window stickers are dumb.

I hate BP too, but it is true that if BP goes out of business, a TON of people will lose their jobs.  Not great, since there aren't any jobs right now for anyone.

Of course, our govt. isn't bankrupting them, they did that to themselves.

Oh god.  One of H(erbert)'s friends made that claim last week.  I sat there and stared at him open mouthed while he continued ranting away showing that he knows NOTHING about the situation.  Sigh.

I stayed out of it because, "Dude, my ex husband worked with BOPs and you're talking out of your ass!" seemed like inappropriate dinner conversation.

This. They're doing New Orleans AGAIN? I feel so old because I remember the first Real World: New Orleans. I also remember the show before everyone started hooking up with each other.

I don't like the Office. I like Steve Carrell in some other things, but I think he tries too hard in that role. Ricky Gervais was SO much better in the part. He was... meaner or more sarcastic, which worked really well. I also think Jon Stewart tries too hard to be funny.

I don't know one person who likes 2 and a half men. That seems like a pretty popular opinion.

I love Twilight, like... hard. I also CQTM every time someone says they dislike it because of the abusive relationships in it... then I roll my eyes and think get over it already.

I also love Monty Python. All of them. And I think there's something wrong with someone if they can't sit down and watch the dead parrot skit without at least cracking a smile. That schit is heart-attack funny.

Also, Fischeh is right. Ranch dressing makes me want to barf. It doesn't even smell good.

Secondary teachers do have to have a degree in their content area (at least in NY).  And, HA elementary teachers should get paid more than secondary teachers.  I have subbed for both and my day is much easier in the middle and high schools.  Secondary teachers get waaaay more down time during the day, and teach the same lesson 5 times.  Elementary teachers have to teach every subject which means a lot more planning.  The school day does not end when your child leaves either.

I don't know why this bothers me so much, but I hate when I'm watching those house-hunting shows and the couple looking at the house sees a huge master closet, and the woman says some version of "and HE can have a LITTLE room in the CORNER!" or "I don't think HIS clothes will FIT in here!" HAHAHAHAHA, you're so goddamn funny, STFU. it happens EVERY TIME.

also, I hate when the parents are like "I love this house and the price is right but I hate how the master bedroom is downstairs and the kids' rooms are upstairs!" get over it, your kids are in junior high.

maybe I should stop watching those shows.

Dear KateyRoseM-  I would like to state, in response to your rambling diatribe against sexually charge words, that your premise is both illogical, and devoid of coherent though.  The phrase, "having balls" does not have to have a sexual connotation, but merely, a physical one.  If you like, other, less physically charged phrases that could be substituted are, "a real go-getter", "grab the bull by the horns" or the classic "go for broke".  You see, these colloquiallisms at one time or another, were disapproved of by many, but as time went on, they became an average use of the language.  As times change, language changes, and the standard person must go along for the ride, or risk being left behind like a grandma riding a horse backward. 

There.  Was that better for you?
