Angel - sometimes just chilling around the house and relaxing is more theraputic than sitting in the sun all day. Being in the sun/heat takes a lot out of our bodies.

It does, but being on the beach also usually calms my nerves. I'm just in a funk and I'm having difficulty imagining motivating myself to do anything, so we'll see where I am tomorrow.
The Target brand gnocchi definitely works. Target surprises me on a regular basis with stuff like that, and I'm a fan. Their gnocchi is priced pretty high though. I buy mine from World Market when they are 2 packages for $3. I LOVE the mini gnocchi that they carry.
Angel, sorry you're having a bad weekend. Actually, outside of this soup I could take or leave them. Wally, that's kind of funny. I kind of miss Recipezaar, it just seemed better or somehing. I dislike change so, so there's that.
And yeahhhh, I'd be dying if there were a bat in my house. I do not do flying anything in my house, birds, bats or otherwise. We had this enormous bird come into our garage and park itself at the top of a shelf. We were all scared to go in there in case it flew at us. We ended up opening all the garage doors, throwing a flip flop at it (not hard, just to scare it) and slamming the kitchen door closed. We waited a few minutes, peered outside and it was gone.
Cool! There's a WM in Sioux Falls and I'm going on Wed/Thurs. I need something to do while DD takes her boards, so that will be one of my errands. Plus I need wine. And they have Targets with groceries there. Ours only has a tiny grocery section.

<div>Battic. Nice. </div><div> </div><div>The are seriously gross. And carry disease. Like rabies. Rabies = sh.ots = I hate bats </div>
Hee. At my college, the football stadium had this carport thing built out from it. Bats lived under it, the year I lived in the dorms every sunset you could see clouds of bats taking off.
We had our second baby shower and I was really excited about a great turn-out. Immediately following the shower, we had a birthday party for a 7 year old, and it was nice to spend time with some family, but oh my, I am beat.
To add on to earlier convo on page 6----I have a problem with strip clubs/strippers at a b-party as well. Call me a prude or whatever. I am happy that H has no desire for that.
Nope, Haven't had mine yet. We are having two, one in OH (H's family) and one in WI (my family) on back to back weekends in September. It's gonna be a LONG week of traveling.
I was able to use my grandmas computer for a while since she doesnt care since she wont use it at this time of night. I love that grandma lets me use her laptop while mine is dead. So we got out bed from IKEA today and it is so comfy and relaxing. Although I am tired from all the cleaning, traveling, building, and a family reunion it was a good day.
The family reunion was my dads family and the last time I saw most of these people i was under the age of 8. Everyone was very nice but I was so lost and confused hearing all these stories and getting introduced to everyone under the sun. Like I never knew my grandma because she passed away when she was in her early 40's from lung cancer and today I met I think all 6 of her siblings .
But before i rant anymore in a crazy tired way YAY the day was good !!!
The shower was definitely great! We got all sorts of fun things and everyone seemed to enjoy themselves as much as you would expect a person to enjoy a baby shower.
Now that the showers are over, it's time to put the nursery together and to figure out what we don't have that we still need.
I'm looking forward to that point Jess. I'm a planner, so it's so hard for me right now to be in this holding pattern until after the showers. I want to start buying stuff and putting things together in the nursery/guest room in the apartment and stuff.
I have forced myself to be patient. I think my way of dealing with it was getting the furniture. We bought a crib and a glider.
H's parents repainted a dresser for us, and the last thing for that project is getting the right hardware. Apparently, they don't make handles of that width anymore, so I found some that would cover the old holes and just need new ones, then FIL had an idea on how to update the existing hardware. I get to see how the refurbished handles look, because if they look good, we can put them on tomorrow and bring it to our house.
It'll be fun getting it all together though. I'm excited.

I don't know how I feel about gnocchi. I think it's okay, but it doesn't knock my socks off or anything.

I found a dead bat in my apartment when I was moving out in college. I was TERRIFIED.
I just kept thinking, HOW LONG WAS IT IN HERE?!
How is everyone this evening?
I'm good, you?
